Testimonials — What Our Students Say
In Web Camp I learned just about everything that I was supposed to learn. The only thing
I really knew how to do before class was to view source codes. In class, I learned how to
make tables, use style sheets, create HTML documents, and just about every basic thing I
needed to learn to start learning how to build web sites.
I was also surrounded by people who care. Class was taught by a loving, motivating, hard-working teacher and volunteers. I am glad that I took this opportunity to learn and grow in technology. I hope I get the chance to continue to grow and to learn more. Thank you Mrs. Denise. — Elledeia, Age 13
In class we started meeting people that Ms. Denise knows and we take a lot of picutres. I like coming to class. I like the other students, and I like Ms. Denise and the student teachers. I really like that I know something about HTML. — Breanna, Age 11
I have learned a number of things that I enjoy doing and have actually considered going into graphic arts. Thanks to Mrs. Denise, I will be getting a new laptop. Thank you Mrs. Denise. — Kaylla, Age 14This class is very exciting. I am hoping to learn a lot about tecnology and meeting new people with Jamillah and Ms. Denise — Dominique, 12
We have 7 girls and we do fun things and it is not boring. The girls are very nice and a lot of fun to talk to. What I want to know is how to make a web site for kids who have special needs. — Virgil, 11
Mrs. Denise is the coolest teacher ever!!! — Erika, Age 12
Some of the things I like about this class is that I get to do new stuff.
I'm learning how to do my own website. I'm also learning how to let people
get to know me better. — kimmie, Age 13
"When I first came to webcamp, I thought it was going to be boring and that
all we were going to do is type and type and type. But we didn't. We learned about
HTML, tables and stylesheets." "Some things I didn't GET, but the teacher helped me. It is a fun class. You learn about how to make your own website. I think it is a good class, and it helps you a lot. Before this class, I didn't know anything about HTML or how to do a hyperlink, how to set background color, or how to make bulleted and numbered lists. Now I do." "Also, we get McDonald's biscuits for breakfast some days. We get breaks, and we talk with our friends and have a great time. I didn't know anything about computers before this class, but I learned a lot. " "Thank you Mrs. Denise." — Ana, Age 11
So I came to this class open-minded, for the fun of it, and because my mother made me. Well, we do so many different things that you are about to pull your hair out but die of laughter at the same time. As I told you, my first day in this class and the ones since are crazy as can be. We do so many different things each and every day, but everything sticks because of the fun that we have with it all. Ms. Denise is the craziest computer teacher that I have ever had. You really won't know what you're missing unless you come to the class and see what I mean for yourselves. You won't be sorry that you came. — -- Kierstee, Age 13 |
